 Coronavirus (Covid-19) Business Update

Updated 05/01/20

We are still open for appointments.
Last updated 5th January 2021 following the latest government announcement on 04/01/21. We are still open for appointments. To reassure you, please see our full list of social distancing measures and procedures we have in place below.

The .Gov website states:
"Where it is necessary for you to work in other people’s homes - for example, for nannies, cleaners or tradespeople - you can do so". Read more >

Updated 12/12/20

Last updated 12th December 2020. We are still open for appointments, although Christmas and New Year are always very busy for us, book now to avoid disappointment.

Updated 10/05/20

Based on new government guidelines (10/05/20), we will now open up the diary for appointments from Monday 18th May 2020.

We will be following social distancing measures and following the below procedures:
  1. At time of booking, we will ask if you or anyone in the household is currently showing symptoms of coronavirus.
Between time of booking and the appointment – Please contact us to rearrange the appointment if anyone in the household does develop symptoms.
  2. We will call 20 minutes before we arrive so you can ensure the kitchen area is clear and safe for us to work
  3. We will use hand sanitiser before we enter your property.
  4. Gloves and a face mask will be worn at all times when at your property.
  5. We will keep at least 2 metres away from anyone in the house and would appreciate it if you could keep that distance from us.
  6. Although we love a cup of tea, if offered a drink in your home, we will politely refuse so please don’t be offended!
This is to ensure our contact to any surfaces or items in your home is kept to a minimum and also removes the need for you to be in the same room.
  7. Where possible, payment by bank transfer is now preferred but card and cash payments will still be accepted
  8. Gloves worn in your home will never be reused elsewhere and will be safely disposed of.
  9. All tools used in your home will be cleaned with disinfectant wipes before we arrive at the appointment.
  10. Hand sanitiser will be used when we leave your property.

For full government guidelines on Coronavirus please visit the government website for more info.

Warning After Toddler is Burned by Shop Bought Oven Cleaning Fluid
Please read the below story before you buy a bottle of oven cleaning fluid in the shops, its really dangerous stuff. This poor little boy will have scars for life.

All products used by One Less Job are non caustic so they are totally safe for you, your children, your pets, your oven, and us, the guys who clean your oven!

We don’t want to bring ANYTHING in to your home that can damage it or you. Even if you read this and other pages on the site and decide to use another professional oven cleaner, make sure they don’t use any nasty chemicals.
A mother has issued a warning to parents after her son was left looking like an “acid attack victim” when he was burned by oven cleaner. Little Aaron Cadder, two, was playing in his grandmother’s kitchen when he spilt the corrosive liquid over his legs.

Had the pleasure to meet a chap called David Andrews yesterday, he’s a life coach who lives in Birmingham. Whilst cleaning his oven we had some very interesting conversations and a laugh about many different things. He said how happy he was with his ‘new’ oven but he took the time out to make a little video!!

Thank you, David.

You can give David Andrew a little follow over here on Twitter - David Andrews Coaching

We are based in Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield but cover all of the Birmingham area. We are also often found in the Wolverhampton area and in and around Warwick and Leamington Spa.

Unlike a lot of other oven cleaners out there where you have to call to get a price, all our prices are clearly laid out on our prices page and there are no hidden costs. All costs include the racks and trays and we use non caustic cleaning solutions.
